Tamkine Foundation: A Decade of Commitment, A Future of Possibilities

Official Message

Ten years.
A decade of commitment, engagement, action, learning, and belief.

When the Tamkine Foundation was born, it was guided by a single, powerful idea: that education is the most vital path toward personal development, social cohesion, and national development. We began not with great means, but with great resolve; the resolve to make education not just more accessible, but more meaningful, more inclusive, and more transformative.

Today, we look back not to rest on what has been achieved, but to better understand what must come next.

Over the past ten years, the Foundation has grown from a seed of conviction into a living force. We have launched programs that have touched hundreds of thousands of learners, empowered thousands of teachers, supported parents, and collaborated with education officials across the Kingdom. We have opened virtual platforms, led national training days, hosted open forums, and stood present in moments of dialogue and decision.

Our teams; determined and ignited with the passion that gathers us all, have become the heart of Tamkine. They are the ones who travel to remote towns and every single corner of the country, engage with school leaders, sit with families, and design solutions that answer real needs. To them, and to all who have served, we owe our deepest gratitude. Their work is not simply technical or administrative. It is human. It is hopeful. It is what gives Tamkine its soul.

None of this would have been possible without our growing network of partners, in Morocco and abroad, who have chosen to believe in our approach and contribute to our shared dynamic. Their trust continues to inspire us.

The Foundation was built upon a clear national vision, expressed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who declared education the Second National Priority after Territorial Integrity. This guidance became our compass, and from it was born what we call The Tamkine Equation, a model that empowers each stakeholder in the education system through thoughtful programs, digital technologies, and the strengthening of human capacity.

We believe that improving education cannot rest on the shoulders of governmental institutions alone. It must be the concern and the work of all. Teachers, learners, parents, civil society, decision-makers — each has their stake in the Tamkine’s equation, and each deserves the tools and the respect to contribute.

Over the years, Tamkine has placed particular emphasis on technology, not as a trend but as a responsibility. We have integrated information and communication technologies with determination, but yet with care, ensuring they serve the people at the center of the learning process. As Artificial Intelligence, Virtual and Augmented Reality, and the Metaverse reshape our world, we are committed to exploring their uses in the service of an education that is more adaptive, more accessible, and more relevant to today’s realities and challenges.

We are proud that the ambitions of the Tamkine Foundation are echoed in the New Development Model, which names quality education for all as Morocco’s first strategic priority. This alignment confirms the value of our approach and encourages us to endeavor even further.

Looking ahead, we are reaffirming our commitment not only to Morocco, but to Africa. We are convinced that the continent’s future will be built in its classrooms, lecture halls, research and training centers, and innovation labs. This is why we have joined voices with continental institutions to call for the proclamation of 2026–2036 as the African Education Decade, a time to elevate education to the central axis of development strategies across Africa.

The Tamkine Foundation stands ready to contribute to this ambition, not alone, but hand in hand with partners across sectors, disciplines, and borders. We are expanding our presence, listening to our environments, learning from others, and co-building programs that bring real, lasting impact.

After ten years of service, we remain more convinced than ever that education is not a solitary endeavor. It is a shared responsibility. And it is this belief that sustains our motto:

#Tamkine_Together_We_Will_Succeed

As we begin this new chapter, our mission continues, renewed, enriched, and anchored in the deep conviction that no society can rise without raising minds, hearts, and hopes.

Thank you to all who walk this path with us.

The President : Dr. Abdelilah Kadili
