Jamal Belahrach: Catalyst for a New Social Model in Morocco

Jamal Belahrach, a builder of social and economic solutions, has used work as a tool for dignity and progress. A visionary and committed individual, he has spearheaded major reforms in Morocco, such as health coverage and banking for temporary employees, as well as the law on temporary work. An influential figure in the employer sector and president of the employment and social relations commission of the CGEM, he made history by initiating the National Pact for Employment in 2011 and sealing an unprecedented social agreement in 2012. Elected to the Board of Directors of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in 2014, author of "Envie de Maroc" (Desire for Morocco), founder, and president of several strategic organizations (Maison de la diaspora marocaine, Zakoura Education Foundation, etc.), he consistently pursues his fight for a more inclusive social model.
